Meet The Team

Dave – Veterinary Surgeon

Dave has loved animals pretty much since birth and has dreamed of being a vet since his earliest years. He studied at Glasgow Vet School and after graduation spent several amazing years in Aberdeenshire in a busy rural vet practice treating all creatures great and small (and bright and beautiful!). Since returning to Glasgow 15 years ago he has invested heart and soul in the East End and is committed to serving the area by offering the best possible care to all pets. He loves all aspects of veterinary care – from intricate surgery to complex medical cases, from the youngest of puppies and kittens all the way through to our beloved older generation pets.

“I love the East End – it’s such a vibrant place to work, and also so wonderfully down to earth. I am humbled daily by peoples love for and commitment to their pets. As far as I’m concerned I see the best pets and owners in the country!”

Kirsty – Veterinary Nurse

Kirsty has always loved animals and as a youngster, her doctor’s set was used to look after and treat her numerous cuddly toys.  From the age of 12 she volunteered for several years at Palacerigg Country Park helping the rangers with the wild animals, and during her time studying to be a vet nurse she even worked her weekends at the Vet School – that’s dedication! After graduating in 2009 she has worked in various practices in the Glasgow area including emergency work and rehabilitation.  She enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing and also loves sharing her knowledge and experience with owners – like all great nurses she’s got a wealth of information to help you look after your pets.

“I’m looking forward to meeting the people and their pets at East End Vets and also to the exciting challenge of developing the practice into the clinic of choice for East End Pets.

Fiona – Client Care Team

Fiona lives in the East End and has worked as a veterinary receptionist since 2008. She loves her job, especially getting to know all the customers and their lovely animals. Fiona has a particular fondness for dogs and “small furries”, and enjoys nothing more than going on long walks with her Cocker Spaniel, Dougie. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and meeting friends for dog walks and meals.

“I am looking forward to this new opportunity of offering all our clients truly compassionate care – and to befriending as many dogs as I can!”

Jacqueline – Client Care Team

Jacqueline lives in Parkhead with her husband David, her daughter Niamh, and her 12yr old Cockapoo Kazmine. She’s grown up with animals all her life and her daughters have had an array of pets ranging from hamsters to horses!

“I am really excited to be working in this new practice with its clear focus on establishing trust – trust between the clinic staff and pet owners, and of course trust between vets and pets! As a dog owner myself, I understand the importance of trusting the team who looks after my precious animals, and I love being part of that here at East End Vets.”

Jody – Client Care Team

Jody worked as a Primary school teacher for nearly twenty years and more recently worked for Candyfloss Cats Southeast Glasgow looking after and caring for cats across the city. Jody has had cats all her life and lives in Sandyhills with her husband Stephen and their two cats, Peanut and Ziggy.

“I am more than a little bit cat mad and am so excited to be working here as the ‘cat champion’. I have the privilege of ensuring the clinic gives a great welcome to all animals and is always at its best for our barking, nibbling, squeaking……and especially purring….guests!”
